We are booked on the Grand Mediterranean cruise in October. Does anyone have any idea as to what kind of weather we will have and what kind of clothes to pack. Looks like maybe cool to warm weather?:cool:

Hi,

We are also on your cruise. We traveled in Oct before and you can expect temps ranging from 60s-mid 80s, non humid.

We had perfect weather except for one day in Rome when it rained buckets.

We are considering very end of September into October.

Does anyone here have any idea when the seas might be calmer or rougher in the Med.?

Can’t predict seas this far in advance. We had mainly calm, but first night out was rough, and midway through a 12 night I got a little seasick from the motion. Overall it was calm.

Our friends sailed the Mediterranean a few years back and had severe conditions off the Italian Coast which lasted for 24 hours.

October is a nice time.

We prefer it over the summer as ports less crowded and far less humid and hot.

Remember that weather is weather so in October it can vary.

When in October as weather will vary say from an early October cruise to one in late October.

Great time of year even if you have some rain.

Thanks Keith. I'm already thinking about what clothes to bring!

We often travel in October in Europe and the Middle East... great time to travel... less crowds and mild not hot days, cooler at night, just what we like. Take a jacket, dress in layers.

Great, Thanks! Less crowded sounds good. Weather sounds good too.
