Please forgive me if these dates have been mentioned in a previous thread.

I did do a search and found all of the threads but thought it would be easier just to start this new thread.

In the new digital Passport Magazine that we just got from Crystal Cruises via e-mail it noted that complimentary unlimited internet would be available on the Ocean Vessels as follows:

Crystal Serenity starting on October 13, 2017

Crystal Symphony starting October 21, 2017.

Perfect timing for those us in November on the cruise that visits the same ports as Hurricane Irma. LOL. I hope there is still something to see after this next few months.

This will be truly wonderful news if they also have increased speed/capacity to accompany this inclusion. I was on a cruise recently when, midway in the cruise, an offer was extended for free unlimited internet if one completed a Travel and Leisure survey. They was a rush to exploit this offer, and I and others with whom I talked noticed a degradation in internet speed as more people were using the limited capacity.

The capacity is already poor so hope they have improved it before I sail in January!

Presumably that's why the dates are set in October and not earlier this year when the change was first announced. One of the last two rounds of network hardware upgrades were done while the ships were in service, so there is no reason to think that the changes outlined in the article and reimagining brochure won't be complete by the date of the pricing change -- at least in their initial implementation. When all the kinks are worked out, of course, is anyone's guess.

Wonderful news for all Crystal cruisers who use WIFI.

Now let's hope none of the ports where Crystal stops will be devastated.
If it means missing some of these places on upcoming cruises, so be it.
Let's keep all those poor people in our thoughts and prayers.

They will get one hour of complimentary internet per day and all up front. That is still very good IMHO.

This is great news. Hopefully the internet service will be in fast working shape, since as many have posted over the years it was pretty bad.

You might be able to figure out who I work for by my screen name. When on land and I see people engulfed with their devices I keep telling myself "Dennis, they could be paying part of your salary"

Thanks for the information! I think that one free hour per day is good and unlimited is even better. It does not mean that I will use that much internet time on a cruise ship. However, it is good to know that such free service is available.
