Oasis of Seas ex Barcelona

Recommended Posts

Please can anyone explain how flights and transfers to port for Oasis of Seas in Barcelona ?

Have only done cruises ex Dubai and Galveston with RCCL previously.

Interested to know about boarding time, whether cabins are open on embarkation, taking wine aboard..is it just one bottle per adult in each cabin ? Disembarkation day transfers etc

Also, have read that European cruises are more formal than Caribbean cruises, is this the case, in reality ?

Considering a drinks' package. Have been told the prices are lowered closer to sailing date, does anyone have experience of this?

Anyone have any additional, helpful information please ?

Many thanks

Should be the same as other transfers.

Cabins should be available at 1PM but interporting may affect those times.

Two bottles per cabin.

Formal wear is subjective.

You have to keep checking the planner for package prices - you cancel and rebuy if you see a lower price.

Transfers with the cruiseline not necessary...Taxi's are much cheaper, quicker and easier.

It´s a 20 min cab ride to the port. They do have fixed prices - currently it´s 39 Euro from the airport to the port. For a group like yours a private mini van might be a good option.

There´s a shop inside the terminal building where you can buy water and wine and take it onboard (2 bottles per cabin assuming there are 2 adults in the cabin - adults are all people over 18 on European cruises).

Disembarking in Barcelona usually ends by 9:30 am. You are more flexible with a cab / private transfer as RCI has usually two time slots for airport transfers for early flight up to noon and later flights. But even with a later flight you are at the airport by 9:30 am latest.

Thank you..party of 8, (7 adults and 1 child. ) much luggage. Have asked travel agent to look into mini bus transfers for us.

You can easily get two van-type taxi's ...there are many of them..even with two of us we always seem to get one. In your case you can get two. Consider the pricing taxi's vs private transportation and do what's best for you...I'll be surprised if the taxi's don't price out better, quicker & easier. JMHO
