rwams Posted September 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Crossing North Pacific in early October 2019, does anyone have an idea of the weather at that time of the year?
Rare Ethanol95 Posted September 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Depends how far north you are sailing. October is the last month of the official western pacific typhoon season. Usually runs from May-Oct but some still form within nov although not often. Which ports are you visiting?
rwams Posted September 19, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2018 Thank you for your reply. Leaving Vancouver to Tokyo with stops in Juneau, Kushiro and Hakodate, Japan. Am hoping for decent weather going across.

Am hoping for decent weather going across. That sounds like it should be okay. You're quite far up for any storm system to develop into something strong. Perhaps more risky when coming into Tokyo, but otherwise should be fine! Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
IRMO12HD Posted September 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2018 We'll be heading out on the same route in a few days! I'll be sure to post a cruise review/trip report . . . keeping my fingers crossed for good weather :-)
