Magic running late to St. Thomas

For anyone who has private shore excursions planned, I wanted to let you know that, at least for St. Thomas, the Magic has been running an hour or more late docking recently. Instead of pulling in at 11 am ships time as reported, she is 12 or 12:30 - which means 1 or 1:30 island time this time of year.

I know this because we have a private snorkel set next week that was set for 12:30 island time, and the owner called personally and pushed the time back to 1:30 pm; he had 8 people on the Magic miss the excursion this week.

We were late yesterday because we had some people getting back to the ship late and the captain slowed down due to rough seas. We then departed St Thomas an hour late so we got our full 8 hours on shore.

We were in San Juan on schedule this morning.

As I've said on many posts about private shore excursion, they know the ship's arrival time better than the nervous guests. My son was a Capt in St.Thomas doing snorkel tours. They live and die by reviews, in 20 years no one has ever been late back to the ship.
