algaes Posted January 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2015 There have been mentions elsewhere about the need for a Turkish visa in Istanbul ($20 e-visa obtained online per person). It is a two step process where you must click on a verification email within 1 hour of it being sent. Twice the delivery to my email account took more than several hours so the verification email failed and I needed to start again. FYI I kept doing both of us at same time so it failed four times actually. Anyhow, late this afternoon (a Sunday) I tried again and this time used a third different email account, a rarely used Gmail account. The generation and delivery of the verification email took less than a minute each time so success!
id4elizabeth Posted January 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2015 Got ours this afternoon. Had no problem amazingly. Our email account uses MSN as our ISP. However, we got charged more; $20.70 - a $.070 processing fee! Oh well, given how much this experience is costing, I guess we'll just suck it up. ;)
