If you accidentally move your pointer over the "Research" heading (next to the cruise critic logo), it moves you to the top of whatever forum you are trying to view. You don't have to click - it just sends you there without warning.

I don't see "Research" Next to the logo I see "Reviews". And hovering over it just opens the pull down menu, doesn't "send" me anywhere.

I'm seeing and having same problem as you op and it doesn't matter whether Chrome or IE. I posted in the safari/chrome not working glitch for the chrome issue.

With the new page anytime you get near the "research" dropdown it scrolls your page all the way to the top.

I agree that OP's issue is very annoying and needs to be fixed.
What "new layout"? They haven't worked out the bugs from the last change.

Seems like the change is for those areas where you are actually doing research for booking a cruise. Not so much the forums where we all discuss things.

Maybe you aren't experiencing it but for me it is on any of the main forum pages like NCL or MSC.

They're using the new format for selected users. So what you're seeing isn't available to others (like me). It's a test and they want feedback.

If you have feedback on the new format here's where you can post it: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1109

Thanks. Later yesterday I read about the "selective" roll out and the "research" drop down went away yesterday for me.

The head moderator (Laura) has said in another forum that it doesn't need fixing. They want to leave it this way. Poor customer support IMHO.

I dont really see what the problem is - what are you doing up in that part of the page that makes you hit it? adjust mouse speed?
If you do it seems simple enough to move the curser off the drop down and it pops back up?
