10:30 am flight from FLL

I'm considering a cruise in October on HAL. My best priced flight home at disembarkation would be at 10:30am from FLL. Is this doable???

You will have to self debark from the ship. We made a 9:30 flight. We were off the ship by 7.

Discussed here dozens of times. Be first off the ship- carry your luggage if you need to, to be in an very early group. Walk off and grab a cab.

If mobility is an issue, or you can't carry your bags easily, don't book it.

Is this a round-trip Ft Lauderdale sailing, or one of the open-jaw repositioning cruises arriving at Port Everglades in October from elsewhere in the world? There are almost always delays in disembarkation on a ship's first call of the season.

Or if one of the smaller HAL ships (such as Veendam) that may dock at Terminal 4 rather than Terminal 26, know that there could only be one or two Customs/Immigration agents for the entire ship. And if this is the Cuba cruise on October 29 the procedures could be extra-extra-thorough.

You would think that a cruise returning from Cuba would have, extra, extra procedures going through Customs. In fact, when we returned from Cuba on the Oceania Insignia last December we went through Customs without the agent even a glancing at our luggage or asking about where we went. I could have had a suitcase full of cigars and no one would have known!
