Any reccomendations for park and cruise hotels.

Thinking of driving to Miami for Winter Cruise. So need a hotel for the night before the cruise and leave the car.

Most will be out near MIA airport as downtown hotels charge guests $25-30+ per day to park. Embassy SUites MIA, Hampton Inn Blue LAgoon and La QUinta East are often suggested on this board.

http://www.stay123.com and http://www.parksleepfly.com are two sources to check.

Or stay cheap outside of south FL (West Palm is about 2 hours from POM) and drive to the port the morning of your cruise - parking at POM is covered, convenient and secure but costs $22.day

We have personally used the Hampton Inn & Suites MIA airport/Blue Lagoon as well as the Hampton Inn Coral Gables/Coconut Grove and would use either again without hesitation!

Note that none of the hotels offering parking deals includes a ride back to your car, so plan on a $30+ taxi or about $20 in an Uber/Lyft.

If you don't "need" to stay in Miami the night before, take a good look at staying cheap outside of the area and just driving to POM the morning of your cruise; compare Miami hotel costs plus cab/Uber with a cheaper hotel and parking at POM (you'll be an hour on the road home before you can even get to your car parked near MIA).

West Palm and just north should be easy; we have even been on the road early from Orlando and have dropped off the rental, shuttled to POM, checked in and were on board enjoying a DOD before noon.

We stayed at the red roof inn miami airport and had free breakfast, shuttle and 10 days secured free parking. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but not much around.
