Anchorage transfer

Any ideas on how to get to port from ANC. Cruising with RCL south to vancouver next month.

Since you are cruising on RCL I assume you will be embarking in Seward. While Seward has a small airport there are no commercial flights. So the options are to drive down on the highway or use the Alaska Railroad. Your cruise line will offer motor coach transport options, and there are also private companies who also offer coach transport (use that CC search function for their names). Most (if not all) cruise lines also offer Alaska Railroad transport, and that can also be booked directly with the railroad.

There is one national car rental agency in Seward, so a one-way car rental can be surprisingly costly.

You will be departing from Seward which is about 125 miles south of Anchorage.

Your options include cruiseline transfer, Alaska Railroad (scenic 4 hr trip, 7am -11am), Park Connection Bus ( 2 departures per day), HERTZ rental car, Seward Busline, several private transfer companies which offer direct transfer or a sightseeing option( such as http://www.alaskacruisetransfer.com).

You'll need to look at them all to see which price and schedule best meets your needs.
