Hi Bob...Lew did you foresee the hurricane situation? Why didn't you warn me?
Nan and I were just thinking out loud about fall of 2019. We'll be doing an Amalfi coast tour on this year's Royal TA with a lunch stop at La Tagliata and will be ready for another one on a future cruise that includes a stop in Naples or Salerno.
We really enjoyed your tour of the Amalfi coast with Fulvio and Nan asked if I recalled his name. I didn't and figured I'd go right to the source. We booked a tour with Benvenuto Limos for a stop in Genoa a couple of years ago and enjoyed it very much.
We'll be doing the Regal TA from Copenhagen to New York next fall. Happy we canceled this year's Regal TA in favor of the Royal. Their weather has been quite bad according to a friend onboard. They also missed two ports and will arrive in NYC a day early due to the hurricane. We're hoping it's not more of the same next fall.
It really wasn't so bad. We sailed south and then west before heading north again in order to avoid Jose. The ride was pretty smooth until the last 2 days. Even then it wasn't too rough. We missed Boston and New Port but got to New York a day early which was fine with me. We docked in Manhattan and we were able to do a few things in the city. The 9/11 museum and memorial are not to be missed. A very moving experience.
