We are considering a cruise on Silver Wind from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale. We have never cruised with Siverseas so I went to look at the reviews. They did not give me a good feeling...

Has anyone cruised lately with them? Thoughts? Any are appreciated. Thanks

Easton64, I think if you have a look through this forum, you'll find lots and lots of voyages where folks shared their experience on various Silversea ships. Below are threads that are listed only on the first page, so be sure to look at the other pages for more discussions.

Are you interested in Whisper (title of your post) or Wind (which you mention in the post itself.)

I have sailed on Whisper within past year and found it splendid. It's an older and classic ship, but a delight with wonderful service, etc.

In any case, I think you will get a fairer and more diverse sample of opinion by looking at posts on this discussion board rather than reviews.

Sorry, I can’t figure out how to change it.

I imagine it's too late. Perhaps you could ask the moderator to do so.

It's been a couple of years since I sailed on Wind. Though well maintained, she is older than most other Silversea ships. She is less fancy. She has a classic rather than glossy modern ambiance. But the level of service is that of an eager, well-trained youngster. The food has been consistently wonderful in my experience. And opportunities to sail on classic, small ships like Wind will be disappearing. If I were you and had not sailed on a similar ship before, I would seize the moment!

The Silversea experience has always been wonderful for us. We do not expect absolute perfection in anyone or anything, but have always found them to be top notch. We are booked on a trip from Hong Kong to Singapore, back to back with another cruise from Singapore to Singapore, in November, and know how much we are going to enjoy it!
