sunset view in Santorini....restaurant or tavern with decent price and view?

Our cruise is in Santorini from 2 pm - 10 pm, next May. I was wondering where would be a good place to sit and watch the sunset that might not be too expensive such as a little restaurant or tavern? Is there such a place?

We loved Classico in Fira. Not far from Cable Car.

The tourist season in Santorini is quite short so locals need to make money during that period.

Although there will be more reasonably priced restaurants without views, anywhere with a caldera and/or sunset view will most likely have higher prices so you need to read reviews before deciding your options. Try Tripadvisor.

I was also wondering since we stay in port until 10 pm , would we be able to see the sunset from our ship? There is one other boat in port that day the Veendam and it is there from 8 am - 6 pm. Can people see sunsets from their ships?

I sailed on Celebrity and they offered roof deck dining to watch the sunset

Wow! That would be great! We are on NCL, did they tell you the day you got in port or did you have time to plan this beforehand.

From a recent post, I replied:

We had a late sailing last time we visited and all other ships had already left. We had a great view of the sunset from the decks and even had a deck party and a local folk group visit, so if you see your ship is anchored in a good location you might want to consider dining onboard. If it is any help, standing at the top of the cable car and looking down, our ship was anchored quite far to the right side. (ie towards the direction of Oia) Further to the left side I do not know what sunset view you might have.
