New Casino Royale Tier System

Recommended Posts

I saw the changes too but can't find more information about it. Anyone else know more?

The system as is today will remain the same as for on board certificates. That is lines 1 and 2 of the flyer.

You will be placed into tiers based off of your previous play and for the first year they will do a look back from 7/1/2016 through 12/31/2017. After the first year you will be rated on a one year roll through 3/31. They will use a full 12 month look. The nice thing is that he says that once you reach a level you will not go below it. Points will be earned just as they are for the certs and here is how the tiers work.

Select 0-2,499

Prime 2,500-24,999

Signature 25,000-99,999

Masters 100,000 -

So once you reach Signature for one year you don't go below that level but every year the points go back down to 0 and you need to get to 100K to get to masters in that on year period from 4/1 - 3/31

Hope that this helps.

Well I gave Casino Royale a call...I wanted to know where I would fall on the Tiers....here is what they told me.

The new program will be rolled out in March 2018....until then, it will be like what you have always had through your casino host.

They will determine your tier based on July 2016 - Dec. 2017.

That was all they gave me....

The good news is that it seems like we are all getting the same information which means that it might actually come off this way.

We cruise end of April so it will be interesting to see where they place us. What stood out for me is that they are going to allow high rollers in the suite lounge. Our experience has been that there's plenty of room but if it becomes crowded we'll be enlarging the "fighting" over Pinnacles and Suite people to include High Rollers.

With the way that the point system works I don't see that many people getting to the Masters Level which is the only one that gets you suite access plus my guess is that most of the players in the highest level are already getting suites comped. Thoughts?

I know a player that accumulates around 25k points...per cruise! He also told me that he has to fight with upper management at CR to get anything more than balcony.

I just called Casino Royale and was told that they won’t have point information until the end of the year. The program starts at the end of March (we’re doing back to back cruises in March so it wont yet be in place). They’re getting more and more info every day and will let everyone that’s a member know at some point in the not so distant future.

To some extent you can figure it out by looking back at the certs you got in the look back period. Most likely most of us will fall into that second tier.

Has it been noted anywhere what's the point value for dollars played? Based on the tier levels listed above, they seem similar to the new Celebrity Blue Chip levels. Celebrity Blue Chip awards one point for every $1 played on slots, $2 played on video poker or $8 played on table games.

If only it was that easy.

They rate each table game differently and in fact different bets inside the game different.

In the end it makes sense. The worse the odds are in your favor the lore points you earn.

For instance the 6 card bonus bet earns more points then the pair plus which earns more then the ante bet in 3 card poker.

I tested this on my last cruise by increasing my 6 card bet and points racked up.

Blackjack and Craps earn very little towards points.

From Dec 2016 to Dec 2017 we have taken four RC cruises, would they accumulate points earned from each cruise to get your tier level for March 2018? If so, that would be similar to what land based casinos do.

All of our cruises were booked through RC Casino rep using certificates we earned on the previous cruise.

Again:

The first time they are rating it will be based from 7/1/2016 - 12/31/2017.

Going forward it will be a 4/1 - 3/31 look.

Since the points are calculated manually by the pit boss, your way would be overwhelming.

Points for tables are based on time played and total amount bet. Every 30 minutes or so, the pit boss goes table to table and manually records the amount that each player is betting. He/she then enters the info in their computer. Time played is calculated automatically. The dealer enters your information from your sea card and amount you’re sitting down with into their system. When you leave, the dealer enters it.

The unknown still is how the points you’re awarded are calculated. Even the pit bosses don’t know the answer to this.

LOL so true RCL knows what they are doing, the very few people who make the masters tier will affect the suite lounge at the alarming rate of wait for it......basically zero! :)

  • 4 weeks later...

We’re taking two cruises between 1/1 and 2/28 so those points are just in limbo and count towards nothing? Or will they count for next year? Also will the match land based casino tiers such as mlife, so many questions!

According to the reps I spoke with the first "year" is 7/1/16-12/31/17

18 months

The second "year" is 1/1/18-3/31/19

15 months.

The third year and beyond is 4/1/19-3/31/20

12 months.

To upgrade to a balcony from an inside, is NOT the difference you see on the website. It is more.

Example I am going on the Anthem, free inside.

The difference between the inside cabin and the balcony cabin is $124 per person on their website.

They are going to charge me $193 per person, plus the port charges of course.

Not complaining. I would probably never have gone on the Anthem as I live in FL and like diving in the Caribbean.

But for Bermuda.....

Yep driving to Jersey.
