I have done a summary from http://www.marinetraffic.com of all passenger ships of over 100 meters on the Danube from Regensburg to Budapest, as of June 25, 2014 from 15:00h to 16:30h. As this was manually done, errors may occur.

Starting in Regensburg

Amacerto Docked since 6/24

Princess Sophie, just docked

Viking Idun docked since 6/19

Although it seems that traffic is flowing for the most part , a large number of Viking ships, particularly longships have been unable to sail, presumably because of deeper draft.

Avalon - according to FB, a couple ships affected but pax are reporting Avalon treating them well. We go on Impression one week from today. Hoping for rain and a good trip!

marinetraffic.com could not find the Viking Kara, but vesselfinder.com had it it Amsterdam. Looking at Amsterdam with marinetraffic, it showed the Viking Kara docked in Amsterdam behind the Centraal Station, having arrived at 03:42 this morning and scheduled to arrive in Budapest on July 7. It seems that the Viking Fleet is scattered throughout Europe.

Great research, thanks!

The Kara might be one of the new boats. It is scheduled for the Nurenberg-Budapest cruises the rest of the season. Let's hope it does make it to Budapest.

Here's a message from Avalon's FB page,

Avalon Waterways

WATER LEVELS ON THE DANUBE: Due to the lack of rain in Europe, water levels between Regensburg and Passau are relatively low right now. So far, these water levels haven't caused a great deal of disruption for our travelers, but we have put contingency plans in place this week to allow for continued sightseeing if/when ships need to dock in Passau (or other ports), due to the low rivers.

Because the nature of rivers is to ebb and flow, much can change daily (even hourly). Should water levels change drastically (for the worse), we will provide additional posts on this page and as needed, we will get in contact with agents and future travelers directly.

In the meantime, our fingers are crossed for more rain. Thanks for your understanding.
