I read online the prices are per hour and they offer "Sunfish sail boat" or "Hobie catamaran sailboat" does anyone know how big there are and how many ppl it holds? We are thinking of doing that and are a party of 6. I know the prices are like 39 or 49 per hour depending on the boat.

Looking for the pros and cons of doing this, thanks!!

You won't be the only ones on the boat, you know....it's a "group" sort of thing. On the private beaches, all the excursions are "tours"...no private rentals to do your own thing.

This is absolutely NOT true. There is a water sports center where you can rent all sorts of items, like floats, fins/snorkels, those small paddle boats and small sailing vessels. I think they probably don't hold more than 2 or 3 probably.

Hobie Cats generally only hold 4 small-medium sized people or 2 large ones.

Sunfish hold 1-2.

Many people just take them out solo.

They are a ton of fun, but doubtful your group of 6 will get by with less than 2 rentals.

Thank you for the info.

I did read that they are rented at the Water's Sport center but I just was not sure how big they really were.

I also did look into shore excursions there but didn't want to feel like I had to be any place at any given time that day. =-) Thanks once again!!

From another cruise, my wife and both sons on a Hobie Cat. I think 4 people would be comfortable...
