Loen Skylift from Port of Olden,Norway

Loen Skylift was open may 20 2017 by Queen Sonja of Norway.

Loen Skylift take you from the fjord and up on mt.hoven 1011 m over sea level.

It take only ca 10 min with shuttle bus from Olden cruise port to Loen.shuttle bus goes all day when ship in port.

Shuttle bus. You can also buy ticket in the office on the right side of the dock when you arrive Olden.

Im sure you will love it if you take a trip on Loen Skylift,there is a very nice view from the top and there is also tracks you can take a walk on the mountain if you like :)

I guess u saw the bridge who is in the Via Ferrata who also is in Loen :) its just near the Loen Skylift :)

I emailed the company that leads hikes and they said you'd need to hike up or down to access that bridge (which wouldn't have happened with our 2 and 6 year old)

The minimum age for *Via Ferrata* in Loen is 12 years,and its one way only (up),so i cant belive they say its possible to hike down :rolleyes:

sorry about that - I was only paying attention to the fact that we couldn't get near the bridge without the hike, which my kids would never have been able to handle!

Better to take the Skylift up and down,thats safe and you can bring your kids :)
