Premier Cruise Question

I understand that casino cash gets added to your sail and sign account and can only be used for gaming. Can someone who has done a Premier with this method tell me what happens with your winnings? I am a slot player. TIA

Yeah <<sigh>> They've changed it, you get casino cash in your account and can only use it for gaming.

I guess it doesn't matter how you get it, it all goes back anyway...LOL

I wonder if this is all ships in the fleet. A friend was just on an Elite cruise last week and got $900 in cash.

When I was given casino cash I played $50 at a time and would cash out whatever amount I won off that $50

In the end I actually cashed out for more $ than the amount of casino cash given to me

OK, I'm feeling better about this with this comment. I get "free play" at my local and it's done like that; if I pull $50 to play and want to leave when I'm showing $125, for example, but $30 of it still belongs to the free play, I get $95 as mine and the $30 goes back into the casino cash pot. Is that how it works or do you have to play the whole $50?

I tried to ask a reservation agent since there's no longer an Ocean Club phone number. She put me on hold and came back telling me that casino cash was basically funny money. "You have to use it all up before you can keep anything you win," she said. "I don't think so," I said. "That's what I was told," she said. I have a call into my PVP right now, but what you're saying makes much more sense.

THANKS!

Ain't THAT the troof! LOL

Maybe Elite is different? They trust those folks will actually gamble with the money?

It's done the way you first mentioned. You play and you can cash out to your player bank the portion you gamble and win back.

Good to know! What happens to the un-played casino cash???

I've been on a number of Premier Cruises and have always received the cash at the casino cage the first night of the cruises. However, in the description of the Premier and Getaway Casino Cruises I believe it does say the cash may be on the S&S card. People who buy specifically Casino Cash on the Carnival website before the cruise can only use it in the casino, but that is different from cash perks on the Premier cruises. I guess I'll have to wait until our Nov. and Dec. cruises to find out.

I've received "casino cash" on a premier cruise as both the initial rebate and for winning one of the playing card drawings. I commented here about it after I got home. The responses then seemed my experience was unusual, maybe an experiment or test run.

I just returned from a premier 2 days ago and had received cash. So like most things with Carnival, there is no hard and fast way that they do stuff. It does seem to vary ship to ship, or most ships do it one way and then there's a few that do it differently.

When we did get "casino cash", the slot machines asked if we wanted to use it up first, before any other balance we had on our account. The casino cash had to be used or we would lose it. That wasn't an issue for us though.

I agree as far as not having a problem spending the "cash" in the casino. In the past, I've always received cash from the casino cashier.

I will be on an Ultra Premier in October and the "invitation" said $500 cash - nothing about "casino" cash. I'm assuming that this means that I will go to the cashier as I've done in the past. I have read on CC that some of the offers specifically say "Casino Cash."

Either way, I'm sure I won't have to work hard to spend $500 in 7 days (lol). I just want to make sure that I don't purchase any Cruise Cash if I will already have $500 on the S&S that has to be used.

If yours says "cash" it's probably that hand-held green stuff. Nice!

Every one of my Premier offers say $500. I haven't jumped on one because the cruise itself isn't discounted enough for me to pay for a solo cabin, air and hotel, and still have to bring more money for the casino. The cruise I'm going on in October (my first Premier) must not have been selling very well because my PVP called me with the offer and it's $1000 in Casino Cash. There are four shore days so with any luck I might be able to make it last most of the voyage. The offer says "$1000 Casino Cash to be claimed at the casino cage to be placed on your sail and sign card."

I'm excited and expect to have a lot of fun.

What are they yellow chips they have given out in the past? I am going on my 1st Premier cruise in November on the Horizon. I just figured I was getting the yellow chips, glad to see I will be getting cash as I play slots and tables.

When you read the terms and conditions for the Premier rates on Carnival's website, as referenced in the Premier offers, they state "Casino Cash is non-transferable and may be issued in the form of cash, Free Play, onboard credit, or non-refundable onboard credit, as determined by Carnival in its sole discretion."

Does say casino cash! I just figured it was the match chips or whatever they are called- Great news~ Thank you!

Um, don't thank me yet... Casino Cash may not be actual money. Does it say "to be put on your sail and sign card?"

I have yet to cruise a Premier but have experienced getting my casino cash in my Player's Bank instead of as cash hand. How you are paid seems to be in part dependent on which ship.

On the Pride I've always had my casino cash as cash in hand, which I immediately place in the safe in my cabin. I then pull at least twice that amount into my Player's Bank from an S&S transfer, in part get my double credit card points.

On the other hand, when I sailed the Vista, I went to the cage for my cash I was told it would be applied to my Player's Bank. The system must not be automatic because the promised funds were not on my PB until I did go back to the cage on the 2nd day.

Unfortunately towards answering your question I can't tell you exactly what happens if you don't use all of your casino cash (my bonuses are usually small $150-250) and the Vista cruise was 11 days with 5 seadays. At each machine I would only download as much as I was willing to loss during that session, mostly between $20-40/machine. By the next day I had run through all the casino cash and was playing off my winnings and whatever else I transferred from my S&S account.
