Pre dinner nibbles with drinks

Just off Ventura. They seem to be only serving the pre dinner nibbles in Metropolis now. Doesn’t really bother me as my waist line will thank them but when did they go and is it on all ships?

Nibbles were served every night in the Blue Bar on Azura in May. Obviously that doesn't mean they will be served when we sail on her again in February, but I hope so.

Can someone please enlighten we to what the nibbles are please.

The nibbles tend to be nuts and savoury biscuits but as Scriv said canapés are sometimes served. These can range from little pastries with various toppings and sometimes we have had some tiny sandwiches with various fillings. Usually they are very tasty but occasionally they have been a bit soggy. To be honest, you don't want too many as you have your 3 to 5 course dinner to look forward to.

I think they serve them in the ship's 'premium' bar - so on Oriana & Aurora, that is Anderson's. From memory, on Formal nights they serve canapes and on other nights, things like vegetable crisps.

Never knew this was offered, so thanks for the information, you learn something new about cruising every day. On our next cruise (the 8th with P&O) we are cruising with family members and will probably have a drink before our meal.

Just off Britannia .. the Crows nest have the usual pretzels and tiny snack bites in a bottle .. stops people putting their hand in a dish. Other bars offer similar except the Glass House bar which doesn't have any, probably because they have the small plates tapas type food on offer.

They do on Azura in the Planet Bar, and in the blue or it could be red bar as well well they did in October.

Vegetable crisps, reminds me of seeing someone in a very upmarket hotel bar reaching for the "vegetable crisps" and getting a mouthful of pot pouri instead. Hard to keep a straight face.
