Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find Punta Cana resorts that offer "day passes" for cruise ship passengers? We have looked online but can't find any info even though we have heard that these passes are offered for a fee.

Hi There,

We were in Punta Cana in September and we found the resort we visited by googling top resorts in Cap Cana. I emailed the ones that I was interested in and requested information on the price of a day pass, what was included in the pass and the price of a cab to the resort. Requesting the price of a cab to the resort is key because at the port they will try and over charge you, we managed to beat them down to $20 US to the resort but got a cab back to the port for $3 US. We picked a resort that didn't required advanced payment and ended up having a great time.

Hi,

We chose Eden Roc Cap Cana at a cost of USD$50.00 per adult and USD$25.00 per child (from 2 to 12 years old). It included the use of the chaise longs, towels, 1 smoothie shot per person (no alcohol) and 1 bottle of water.

We just showed up at the Beach Club and paid at the front desk, food is available for purchase. At the time we went it wasn't busy and its a beautiful resort.

Also got information from Secrets Cap Cana whose day pass was from 10 am to pm at a cost of USD$100 per person and included access to facilities and lunch at the buffet.

To book the day pass you can send an email to this address and to
and
You do the payment directly at the front desk.

Which ever resort you choose I would suggest you look up reviews at least a week before you to to see what the seaweed situation is like. We heard lots of complaints about smelly beaches due to seaweed.
