As I understand it, no. You do not have any access to your luggage until you arrive at your destination airport.

I have never used the service, but plan to use it early next month on the Legend/Southwest. I will report back on my experience in this thread.

Well it is in full effect the luggage valet.

Sadly we were not able to use the service because our plane left at 11:55am (Delta) and the computer would not let it pre-book this service for us.

So we did put our luggage out the night before.

The concierge gave us ticket #1.

We were escorted off the ship at 7:50am (Explorer) and walked to luggage area.

Used a belcap to take our luggage to taxi.

Checked in at Delta at Sea Tac, and sitting in plane waiting area at 8:45am.

Yea a little bummed, but we survived.

Safe travels.

How does this service work with going through customs? Can we put some items that we've held out of our luggage for disembarkation morning back into our luggage before flying?

We're disembarking from the Emerald Princess, Sept. 9, 2018.

No you have to have carry on items only, we had held on to a small toothpaste and threw the toothbrushes away, I kept my makeup and a clean tshirt for our trip back, once you leave your suitcases out the night before you do not see them again until your final destination. so my hubby and I had a small backpack each, we used the basics from in the cabin shower gel soap, (toothpaste and toothbrushes see above. We kept one clean undies and one clean tshirt to change into on departure day.

We also got off the Carnival Legend on September 5, 2018. Like Matlily above, we used the service.

Our trip was Tuesday to Wednesday of the next week. I think we received the paperwork in the cabin on Thursday and it had to be turned in by Saturday. Watch your dates and time carefully. We filled it out and returned it to Customer Service desk on time, talking with the people there to be sure I understood the process.

We had a Southwest flight at 12:30 on Wednesday. Customer Service had warned us that our boarding passes would not show up too early, but that we should see them by 9pm the night prior to departure. We had them in our "mailbox" when we got back from dinner that night. Luggage tags on our bags, bags in the hallway that night by 10pm.

Bags disappeared overnight like they should have. We got them back when we got off our flight in Salt Lake City the next afternoon.

I love this service, and will use it again whenever or wherever it is offered. Thank you Sea-Tac and Seattle Ports.
