Go Pro, but not a Go Pro

You should ask this question in one of the

Digital Photography & Cruise Technology

sub-fora, probably

Photo & Camera Discussions

And as for it being a Go Pro like camera, you'll need to be more specific - I'm sure they all have different ways to communicate to an external device, like WiFi or Bluetooth or direct cable connection or who-knows-what.

the GoPro will allow transfer from camera to laptop or iPad, but downloading photos is quite challenging, if not impossible, even with the best WiFi package. I have not been on the Vista or Horizon where it is reported the WiFi is much better

was just hoping to post videos or photos of snorkeling to facebook, from the camera, but guess I'll be waiting till I get home, or using wifi on shore somewhere. Which requires me to connect the camera to my phones wifi. and yes i use the app for the camera. I will just use my iphone to post pics that are not in the water :)

thanks for the responses though!
