Does the boat go through? Galaxy jan. 10th

I have been researching our cruise on Galaxy Jan. 10 2005 panama canal and it doesent sound like the ship goes all the way through to the pacific? oh yeah we are leaving from Galveston TX. Does anyone know if the ship goes al the way through the canal??

Hi Gary & Nate,

It does not go all the way through to the Pacific. It goes through a set or two of locks and then anchors in a huge lake. Then, it goes back through the locks back into the Caribbean Sea.

You'll get the full experience of going through the locks ....the other side is just the same...but make sure you have a good alarm clock, because you'll want to be up on deck VERY EARLY !!..if you want a prime viewing spot.
