Has anyone travelled transatlantic?

Looking for feedback from anyone who has done one of the (quite long) transatlantic trips with Windstar. They seem to be great value for money. We like to be at sea, rather than in port, hence the attraction.

Philipb;

Go back to the January 27th Trans-atlantic Windsurf and read the postings from Mousemeat. He did it last year and he is doing it again this year. It can't be that bad, so I convinced my wife to go. Hope to see you on board.

I did for five years straight -- so obviously enjoyed it. always on the smaller ships (not the surf), in the mid 90s.

These were my favorite cruises ever. But as we said, you have to be "good at doing nothing" to enjoy them! Or be able to entertain yourself. I took about 7 books, but mainly enjoyed visiting with other passengers. A lot of the same people did the crossing annually, so on my last crossing, I already knew 35 of the 100 passengers when I boarded, as well as most of the officers and crew.

I'd be glad to answer any questions you have!
