Mike2131 Posted November 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2005 We sail on the Carnival Legend and I was wondering if the is the shopping at the pier in Colon? And what is the shopping like? Prices? What sort of stuff do they sell? Thanks for any info:) The front area of the pier has shops with crafts, textiles, souvenirs, a small kiosk offering soda and snacks, a bar, a small restaurant (?), an open area offering native entertainers, etc. After that area is a wide open warehouse section with lots of vendor stands. As I remember, 6 Diet Cokes were $5.00. My girlfriend felt the prices were OK and things like some of the fabrics items were definitely better on the pier than on the ship. Our ship was docked right there and we were able to board after shopping.
KreinKrunker Posted November 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2005 What Mike2131 describes sounds like the pier at Critobal. There is also a relatively new pier at Colon, so it depends which one you are stopping at.
gizmo Posted November 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2005 I got to be honest. I was at the pier in Colon and the shopping was not so hot.
