Pre-cruise stay in Galveston

What is there to do in Galveston? My fiance and I are planing to get there the Tuesday before our cruise as we will be getting married on the ship and will need a marriage license.

On our stay in Galveston, my wife and I enjoyed Moody Gardens (which has multiple attractions including a superb aquarium and IMAX theater complex), a stroll along the seawall (very romantic, weather permitting) and The Strand (a retail area next to the cruise terminal). The Strand is touristy with quaint shops and upscale restaurants. We found Galveston very clean and laid back. Enjoy your stay in Galveston and your wedding cruise!
