Yes, and you can make them or have the concierge make them for you on the first day which is recommended by some previous posters.

I was on the inaugural 7 day and would suggest dropping your carry-on bag on your bed, and immediately pick up the phone and push the concierge button. Make reservations for at least the first 4 nights at the time you want (one in each of the dining rooms, of course) -- and for the last three nights, return to your favorite dining rooms. Because on those last three nights you won't be giving them that much advance notice, you may not get the EXACT time you want, but close to it. Also, if you know you have a favorite type of food or atmosphere (by peaking in each DR the first night) you can make your last three nights reservations in THAT DR. That's the way I did it, and it worked great. The menu at each of the themed dining rooms is so limited that it IS a bit of a gimmick, but I love it. (And the smaller DR's made it feel more like you were on a smaller, more intimate ship.) Eventually, on my last three nights I ordered mainly from the Traditional menu.

If I understand it correctly, four of the nights of the cruise the traditional dining room offers rotating menus of the other four themed DR's. In other words, you'll be able to sample the menus of all 4 in the traditional DR. So your dining options work out to be the same as PC diners.

In theory, you are correct.

We were in traditonal the first two days: the first day, we were offered the New York strip and the onion appetizer and the second night, nothing! No specilaty menus either. The third night we switched: our waiter wasn't that great either and it took forever to get out of there. In PC, it never took more than 1 1/2 hrs.

Hopefully this has changed since the maiden voyage.
