Kayaking Info

Recommended Posts

hello, in Saint John, New Brunswick a Coastal Kayak and Lobster bake excursion is offered. here is the info that is given about it on the RCCL website, but I have checked the other lines that visit Saint John, Carnival and Princess and they both offer the same package, prices do vary between the three lines though.

This soft-adventure excursion is great for the novice or experied enthusiast who wants to enjoy the nature of New Brunswick and a local delicacy.

You'll pass through the historical city of Saint John enroute to the St. John River as your guide briefs you on the trip you will take and answers any questions you may have concerning the port of Saint John. Before arriving at the kayak site, a brief stop will be made at the world famous "Reversing Falls " rapids. Arriving at the sheltered waters of the St. John River, you'll begin your adventure by being outfitted with the gear you will need and receive detailed instructions on kayaking or canoeing, and a safety briefing by a certified guide.

Board one of the two-person sit-in style kayaks or canoes for an 1.5-hour guided tour through the bay area and along the shoreline. You may possibly see a variety of wildlife from eagles to ducks and geese. Paddling is at a slow, relaxing pace and great for all ages. Following your trip you will return to the beach and be treated to a lobster bake with all the trimmings, dessert, and refreshing beverages.

hope this helps

Mike
