Prepaid Visa credit cards???

I was wondering if anyone has ever used a prepaid visa credit cards for their vacation. From the sounds of it, I think it would work great. I think it can be used just like a regular credit card. If anyone has any knowledge of how these work, your input would be greatly appreciated.

I used one on both my last two cruises (Mediterranean and trans Atlantic). I got it from AAA and I would use it again in a heart beat. It beats carrying a bunch of cash, can be used to pull cash out of local ATMs, can be replaced if lost and work just like a VISA card - except when you run out of money on the card, you can't extend your credit - duh! For pulling cash out of ATMs, you do need to be sure you get a card that has a PIN number for it.
