We were in GC Nov 4th on the Conquest and were able to dive.

1st dive down to 95ft though the canyons and to the wall. Some of the canyons are 4-5 feet deeper (you can see where the sand was washed out.

reef in great shape. The mooring even held.

2nd dive small wreck & reef in 55-60 ft storm surge did move part of the wreck around and broke more of it up. Fish everywhere and very curious. Even more so than usual.

Pic from dive #2.

We have dove with the same small operator for many years. And Are always thrilled with their service. Seasports owned by Capt Butch & his wife Karen... They pulled their small boats out of the water just prior to the hurricane and were fine. They were actually doing assessment dives 1-2 weeks later. Currently their employee Andy is running the boat and makes an excellent divemaster never more than 8 on a trip. We dove with only 3 :) (their 1st trip since Ivan). I think it was about $95 for a two tank dive +gear (we brought mask fins, snorkel) so gear was $25.

I usaully set up a time based on cruise ship arrival time and Butch tell us where to meet usually a short cab ride. We usually are slashing on the wall within 25-30 min of getting off the ship. They will tailor the dive to your desires and experience level.

We have dove with them 5 times over the last 10-12 years and have never been disappointed.

if you want you can e-mail Capt Butch at seasports@weststartv.com

P.S. I know a great guy in Cozumel if you are going there.
