Photos of HAL Staterooms/Cabins

Recommended Posts

IRL Joanie we have been assigned a BQ120 formerly a BB on the Maasdam Dec. 6. I am surprised at the designation of BQ, but I chatted with Lisa on the chat line and she assured me it was a BQ cat. Can you advise whether this is a cabin we would enjoy because we do not plan to use the Spa amenities?

boards, I do not know whether you will enjoy it or not. I do not have any info on the BQ's on Maasdam. The closest that I can come would be April 2010 BA 117 http://abqreunion2008.com/Maasdam/Deck-9.html

I would say that if you like the location, then go for it, whether or not you use any of the amenities that go with the "Q's"

Sorry I cannot give you a better answer:(

Has the link been set up to view the cabin pictures? Am eager to see SS 8099 Westerdam!

Kitred, I have quite a number of Deck 8 SS staterooms here: http://abqreunion2008.com/Westerdam/Deck-8.html Just go down the page about 1/2 way and click on the Photos to view them full sized and read the reviews of the staterooms. The SS staterooms are pretty much exact duplicates of each other and the only difference will be in the location of the stateroom itself. The closest I have to SS 8099 would be SS 8088, which is across the ship and foreward by just a couple staterooms.

Thank you. We had hoped to be a little more midship, but we were in HH314 last year and we survived the motion and that is my concern with this cabin. But looking at it in from the outside it is further back than the HH was, so I think we will be okay.

Hi Joanie, am having problems opening the MS Ryndam photos on your website. We have booked an inside cabin J756 for our first HAL cruise next August. Any info/pics would be much appreciated. Best wishes, June :)

I just checked all the other S class ships and have no photos of the J staterooms on Deck 4.

RuthC would be the person I'd have you ask but I believe she is on a cruise right now.

Hi Joanie - I haven't been able to access your photos either same message- error 404.

I think you both may be trying to get to my old site at joanjett2000.....

My Site is on a completely new and much better server which can be accessed here: http://abqreunion2008.com/

I just had 2 others check it and they have no problems accessing it.

Hi Joanie- I used the link but when I click on the ship it gives the error message as before - error 404. I am wondering if it's because I am using an iPhone ? I will try another device and let you know .

Hi Joanie- the error message did not come up when I used another device that wasn't Apple and it worked fine. Must be an issue with the Safari on the I device and not your website.

Could very well be. I've had one or 2 others state that it was there iPhone or iPad......... I am sorry, but I've tried as best I can to make it as cross platform as I can.

OK All, will be signing off in a couple hours and heading to the airport. Will do my best to check this thread while gone, but more than likely not be able to do much untill I return home the 10th of Dec.

I'm sure that there is information about this somewhere, as well as pictures, but we're trying to make a very quick decision about an aft cabin on deck 6 on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Does anyone have an opinion about 6170, 6177, 6179, or 6181? Is one better than the other? Any information would be wonderful - we've never booked an aft cabin before!

I have a few photos and comments from other CC members about the Deck 6 Staterooms on Nieuw Amsterdam here : http://abqreunion2008.com/Nieuw_Amsterdam/Deck-6.html About 2/3s of the way down the page

And you can also use Eurodam as comparisons, they are located here: http://abqreunion2008.com/Eurodam/Deck-6.html Differences will be the furnishings and the name of the ship.

There is another sticky just under this one that covers the Eurodam and has excellent photos and info. Between the 2, you may find what you're looking for.

Because of all your hard work, I was able to change my NA booking for this upcoming March Caribbean cruise to 4166, one of the super balconies!

We just love our outside space. Many thanks for all your hard work on this thread!

Just wondering if you have any info on the Zuiderdam stateroom 8076? I noticed that this is an SS....are these new classifications? What were they classed as before? Would love to see pics of the room and balcony if anyone has any. Thanks :)

8076 was an SS and while it stays in the same location, it is being reclassified as an SY after the reclassification.new deck plans.

I have a few photos of several SS class staterooms on Zuiderdam and they will be almost identical to what you wish to see:)

Just follow the link and head about 1/2 way down the page to see the SS staterooms and click on individual snap shots to see a full sized image. http://abqreunion2008.com/Zuiderdam/Deck-8.html

Thanks Joanie. When is this stateroom being reclassified? I thought it was just reclassified?..Did I miss something? If it is reclassified will the price reflect the new classification? Just curious as we have booked this room.... as an SS for April!

Until May 9the 2014 it is an SS 8076 but as of May 10 2014 it will reclassified to SY 8086. deck plans through 9 May 2014 can be found here: http://www.hollandamerica.com/main/DeckPlansFull.action?ship=zu&deck=m&deep=0 and after May 10 2014 can be seen here: http://www.hollandamerica.com/main/DeckPlansFull.action?ship=zu_2&deck=n&deep=0

It's located just steps away from the aft elevators and handy to disembark on your own for shore excursions etc. You do hear engine noise especially during docking procedures.

The bathroom is narrow and has a tub and a partial wall blocking the toilet so it would be difficult for someone using a walker. The tub has several handholds.

If you are the least bit narcissistic, you will love this cabin! Mirrors are everywhere - big one in the bathroom over the sink and another in the tub area as well as a full-sized behind the bathroom door, a large one over the desk and one even frames the picture over the sofa.
