Does this sound correct from past experience?

I just called Cunard and asked about getting cash advances or chips from the Casino Window to be used in the Casino and I was told that it could be done and just placed on your onboard account without any surcharge. Does this sound right? I just do not want to take a lot of cash with me on the cruise, but I also do not want to be caught short if this is not the case.

My understanding and experience, if I remember correctly, is that there is a 3% surcharge.
