bumpers234 Posted September 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2009 I am concern about the travel time and traffic to take the Manuel Antonio tour from Puntarenas. I have been told that in October the roads are good and a new bridge was recently completed that brings the travel time to 2 hrs. I have never been to Costa Rica and I am wondering if seeing Manuel Antonio is worth the added time. This trip is not part of Celebrity Tours so there is the issue of missing the boat. Any input would be helpful.
jkeller527 Posted September 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2009 Manuel Antonio is definately a better trip and worth the time than Jaco but not knowing your times of port cant advise. If the ship is not doing it then there must be a time constraint. C
bumpers234 Posted September 18, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted September 18, 2009 We are in port for 12 hours and Celebrity is offering the tour to Manual Antonio that day. It appears that Odyssey Tours makes quick stops at some places along the way which is not mentioned in the Celebrity tour.
jkeller527 Posted September 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2009 If you go to the Carribean board and then Costa Rica there are a lot of independent tours being offered that go there I always hate the shore excursions so lean toward independent but by far Manuel Antonio is a great trip.
