Catalina Island

Has anyone been to Catalina Island in the Domincan Republic, and if so can you give any information on the place, as it seems to e very sketchy on the internet.

Catalina Island, OMG, I haven't been there in probably 10 years! Celebrity used to stop there regularly, I didn't think they did anymore. Are you stopping there on a Celebrity ship? The beach is beautiful! Just a great beach day, one of the better private islands, in my opinion. You will enjoy it if you like the beach, not much else there.

We are going with P&O Ventura, in November.

We went on a Carnival excursion there in Feb 2008. Beautiful beach. We had a great time.

I just read on the Carnival board that the Carnival Miracle will be doing some limited itineraries to this island in 2010/2011. Might get more people asking about it now. ;)

We stopped there when on the Ventura last November, beautiful beach day, you will tender in. The ships crew set up a massive BBQ lunch. Plenty of free sunloungers available.There's not much shade though so don't forget the sunscreen. Enjoy
