My wife and kids and I are looking to take a curise that stops in Calica but we cant find any shore excursions for a 6 & 8 year old can you help ?

 

or would you recommend progresso?

How adept are your kids at swimming? There are several outstanding beaches / waterparks / cenotes nearby.

Akumal bay is generally pretty protected from waves and has soft sand, a beach restaurant, water toy rentals, with the added bonus of awesome snorkeling straight from shore amongst resident turtles, fish, and coral. I'll be there in 7 weeks with my 8 year old daughter. Hire a cab for the day, much cheaper than a ships crowded excursion.

Look into Xcaret. There is an abundance of things to do. The children will not be bored.

 

The will see flamingos, turtles, parrots, jaguars, monkeys, Mayan village, they have an aquarium, a 20 minute river ride, horse riding show, dancers, beaches, underground river, just to name a few. More activities then you will have time for.

The Dolphin swim at Delphinus was the highlight of my wife and daughters recent visit to PDC. It's next to/part of Xcaret, and the Dolphin interactions were very well done and lasted quite a while.

look at edventures, on our last cruise a freind of mine (who I did not know going to be on it) with kids the same age used them and loved it. we were doing our own thing at tulum, akumal and bumped into them.
