skiiergirl Posted January 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2005 We love RCI (have never sailed anyone else) but would love to see some new itineraries out there. Just my opinion, but I think they have too many ships doing the "standard" western/eastern itineraries. What would be your perfect 7 day itinerary? lschrage Posted January 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2005 I would love an East Meets West caribbean itinerary that leaves from Miami. Ports of call would include Grand Cayman, Cozumel, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas. Lynne
skiiergirl Posted January 5, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted January 5, 2005 I kind of like the idea of combining east & west & some southern (as long as Jamaica isn't on the list.)

denb Posted January 6, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2005 Doc beat me to it (Navy here, too.) Beyond that, it would be day 1 - depart from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale day 2 - Nassau day 3 - Labadee day 4 - St. Thomas day 5 - San Juan day 6 - at Sea day 7 - Coco Cay day 8 - return
PoohUnderstands Posted January 6, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 6, 2005 My ideal seven day cruise would be a 14 day cruise anywhere in the world!!! (GRIN)
Rich And Sylvia Posted January 6, 2005 #8 Share Posted January 6, 2005 As long as our last day aboard the ship is a sea day - we're in. We just can't bring ourselves - yet anyway - to book an itinerary that has a port as the last full day onboard - gotta have that sea day. It is just a perfect way to end a vacation - all of the ship is buzzing with activity and we relax on the Lido deck and watch it all roll by. Amazing! skiiergirl Posted January 6, 2005 Author #12 Share Posted January 6, 2005 Ok...Thanks for the input. Some of you guys are too funny. I like all of these ideas but was really trying to be serious to see if we could maybe come up with a really spectacular itinerary that we could submit to RCI to see if we could get them to consider making some changes. jebl Posted January 7, 2005 #16 Share Posted January 7, 2005 My first cruise was an 8 day aboard the old Nordic Prince. We arrived in St. Thomas early in the am and didn't leave until 6PM the NEXT day. Two days in my favorite port was great. We were able to rent a jeep the first day and cover the island with stops at all of the favorite spots. The next day was time for a snorkel trip to St John's and shopping. Other ports were Nassau and San Juan. Also like the idea of Coco Cay and Labadee in the same itinerary. Very relaxing that way.

Hucc Posted January 7, 2005 #18 Share Posted January 7, 2005 Now you didn't say we had to keep it realistic. :) This would be port days with arrivals of 6 am, and departures of 2 am the next morning. :) Day 1 - Boston, MA Day 2 - At Sea Day 3 - Bermuda Day 4 - Aruba Day 5 - Honolulu Day 6 - At Sea Day 7 - Boston

LJR213 Posted January 7, 2005 #20 Share Posted January 7, 2005 I'm not Navy but I'm with Doc.........any 7 days at Sea is just fine with me. I wouldn't care if they ever came into port. Although I do like the Boston & Honolulu idea from Hucc. Good One

skiiergirl Posted January 7, 2005 Author #22 Share Posted January 7, 2005 Kruz...yes and thank you...you suggestion is "doable" (or so I believe). I don't think even a fast ship could do Croatia, Australia, & Hawaii all in 7 days though as another poster suggested. I do think most of these are "doable" and I think we have some good thoughts going here.
