I can't report on Hot Spots but there are Internet Cafes in both Progreso and Merida. Sorry, I can't tell you exactly where. Two or three dollars per half hour I think.

The McDonalds in Merida has free Wi-Fi....lol...kind of funny to go all the way to Mexico to use the internet in a McDonalds! I'm not sure about hot spots in Progreso. I would love to know where they are!

If that is the MacDonalds close to the Walmart, I had a great experience there once. The place was absolutely spotless. Went to the counter and ordered and paid. The girl then said, have a seat and we'll serve you. Never had that happen at home.
