Cruiser_Guy Posted January 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2005 I am sailing on the Mariner of the Seas on December 18. It's a 5 night Western Caribbean Cruise. I looked on www.rccl.com and www.1800cruises.com, and both of the itineraries were the same. Port Canaveral-Day at Sea-Cozumel-Grand Cayman-Day at Sea-Port Canaveral. Thats what my cruise is supposed to be. Than I looked on www.cheaptickets.com and www.travelocity.com, and both of them showed my itinerary as Port Canaveral-Day at Sea-Labadee-Ochos Rios-Day at Sea-Port Canaveral. Which one am I taking? I am supposed to take the first itinerary, not the second. Thanks, Joe
jebl Posted January 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2005 I think I would go with RCCL rather than some other agency. I found the same thing on an agency website. The itinerary was not what is in the brochure and on the RCCL web site.
Twaincruisers Posted January 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2005 Take RCIs statement of itinerary...and hope for the best. Itineraries can always change...in February we ended up unable to go to Labadee which was our objective for that specific cruise. On another line a couple was to meet their family & friends in Key West, get married, and honeymoon on the cruise...the ship was late into/out of Miami and dropped Key West! We've always made it to GC, but many people have never made it. Itineraries are, unfortunately, subject to change.
VABeach Posted January 8, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2005 I've had the same problem. RCCL will make small changes to the itenerary every now and then. Theirs is the most up to date. FYI - Check it often if you plan on booking your own excursions. We almost got in trouble that way.
Cruiser_Guy Posted January 8, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted January 8, 2005 this isn't exactly a small change. this is a change in the ports. Joe
VABeach Posted January 8, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2005 They'll do that too. We cruised from Norfolk in '03 on the Victory.:D
goodml Posted January 8, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2005 I too have found that some of the sites do not have the correct itinerary. Log into the RCCL site and check your own individual booking periodically. That's where we saw that our itinerary had been changed from Grand Cayman to Nassau last month. The info listed under your booking number will always be the most current.
