Jo and Rob Posted January 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Please can you tell me what the minimum time for internet use is available on Princess and how much it costs. We have looked at the website but they seem to have multi minute packages that cost more than we wanted to spend. This is our first cruise (40th birthday treat) and we want to be able to contact the children via email each day. many thanks

The least expensive package you can buy is 100 minutes for $55.00 Your only other option is to try and find an internet cafe in port.
paul929207 Posted January 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Minimum time for internet connection. Cost is 75 cents plus a $3.95 coonection fee. So if you con't buy a package, the first minute will cost you $4.70 and additional minutes are 75 cents.
Toto2Kansas Posted January 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2010 and we want to be able to contact the children via email each day.many thanks If you plan on keeping in contact via the ships computers with the kids 'each day' then I would suggest you buy at least the smallest package. The internet connection is not high speed but satellite access and 100 minutes may not even be enough to type out and read emails each day of your cruise. It is nothing to take up 15-20 minutes just to access and read a few emails onboard. Enjoy! If you are trying to save on your spending, finding an internet cafe in port is much less expensive. donna5 Posted January 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Depending on your cruise itinerary, days in port and time in port. You may be able to use an internet cafe in port. Do a search for wifi in the areas you will be.
