LindaJean Posted October 10, 2013 #2276 Share Posted October 10, 2013 I hope someone will have an update on major roadwork at Cruise Parking of Port Canaveral. I booked parking for 2 cars at Cruise Parking of Port Canaveral, 3520 N. Cocoa Blvd. for week of 11/2. I received confirmation mid July. Today, I went to their website to verifiy address/directions. The site now says "Temporarily Closed" due to major roadwork in front of their parking facility. It says Nov 1st is the earliest they may be able to reopen. I've sent them an email and am waiting for their response. I'm worried and may need a backup plan for parking. Does anyone know how the roadwork is going or heard from Cruise Parking regarding their reservations?

JohninDC Posted October 22, 2013 #2280 Share Posted October 22, 2013 HiI am wondering if my flight home is too tight. I am taking the Freedom of the Sea on December 1st and the cruise ends on Sunday 8th. On papers it says the ship arrives back to Port Canaveral at 6AM and my flight at MCO is at 11h24 am. It's my first time on Royal Caribbean and i am unsure how long till i can get off the ship. is there any advice you can give to catch my flight? thanks! For an 11:24 flight you need to to be at MCO by about 10:00 (and earlier is better if you have ever seen the chaos of TSA screening in Orlando). With a 50 or so minute ride that translates into you being off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration and loading into a shuttle/car/limo/cab by about 9:00. I would pack light and carry ALL of my bags off to be among the earliest guests off and have my transportation arranged in advance -- you DO NOT have time to mess around with a rental car. Next time save yourself some stress and book flights departing after noon. Good luck! :)
richardb Posted October 22, 2013 #2281 Share Posted October 22, 2013 I emailed them and asked if they would be open for our upcoming cruise in late November and they said they would still be closed. I would look for a backup plan. We've used the parking/shuttle from the Radisson twice now. It's right on 528/Astronaut Blvd just south of the port. Just pull into the motel lot and follow the signs toward the cruise parking. Always seem to be plenty of shuttles to the ship. As you can imagine, there is a line to get back when you get off the ship. That can't be helped, what with everyone trying to get off at the same time. But we've been very happy with the service. Kadeeu Posted November 28, 2013 #2283 Share Posted November 28, 2013 I have been trying to find an answer to my parking question through search and reading threads but can't. I am arrive to the Port (terminal 6) by car. I am trying to decide whether or not to park offsite or at the port. While cost is an issue I am trying to understand the process and difficulties in dealing with luggage at the port parking. When you park in the garage or lot for Terminal 6 do you get a chance to offload your luggage prior to parking? Or do you need to park first and get a cart or get a porter to help. Any insight into the process of getting into the terminal would be helpful.

I would suggest using an off site lot such as Cruise Parking at the Radiisson as it cost less and they shuttle you and your luggage to and from the Port. EmJakeBubbie Posted December 1, 2013 #2285 Share Posted December 1, 2013 renting from Payless for $40/da (was told this is a CC special promo) - they run a later shuttle, than other rental companies. going up to Titusville for the (pricey) Rock Shrimp (because we love their hush puppies, too). A taxi to the airport will be VERY expensive ($125-$150) because airport is about an hour away. Best way is either a one way car rental or prebooking a shuttle. The three most popular on these boards are Travelynx, Executive VIP Limo or Cocoa Beach Shuttle. Hope this helps! I have looked at a few and they were about 130.00 but haven't looked at the ones you listed. Do they take just the 5 of us with not other stops or have to wait to load up a buss full? Thanks so much for your help the ship says it get's in at 6:00am but not sure what time we will actually get to clear customs.

EmJakeBubbie Posted January 9, 2014 #2291 Share Posted January 9, 2014 as written, Port Canaveral is a long ride to MCO - Orlando Airport. the most efficient/affordable mode of transport would be to purchase the Transfers through the cruise line. You can get a round trip for about $35pp - pick up/drop off/baggage handling by them. how are you planning to Get to the ship from MCO ? the transfers are affordable if you book a round trip, but do believe you can purchase one way only. g'luck, and Bon Voyage. The standard rooms are only 2 stories. The suite buildings are 3 stories. For standard rooms and either the 200 or 400 building for suites. The 200 building is closer to the pool although the pool area may get quite noisy so if you want a quiet area request courtyard views. The most favorite rooms are in the 800 building 2nd floor facing the pool. Be aware that most of the pool side rooms are king rooms. There are just a few rooms with 2 beds facing the pool.
