Hobiecat01 Posted January 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2010 Hi All, We are down to less than 3 months until our April Oasis cruise and DW just asked me a question that I though I would pass on to you... On our past RCL cruises several "Drinks of the Day" were served in "Swirl Glasses". Does RCL still use those glasses? We have about 8 of them and DW wants a few more. See the picture below. They come in several colors. Anyone seen these on the Oasis? ------------------------ Sea ya! MTSHQMP Posted January 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2010 Yes I am drinking from one right now! :D (not joking I really am and my wife got it on oasis!). I think we got it on day 5 for free, the waitstaff in one of the bars really liked us (ok we did tip them extra they were really good, nice, and the bartender made strong drinks) and just gave it to us when they had a few extra from the night before. jalitch Posted January 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2010 I brought a couple of them home last week. They also sell them and others without the drinks on the last day on the Promenade around $4.
dfishner Posted January 25, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2010 Reminds me very fondly of our Jewel of the seas cruises in the schooner lounge we must of bought 8 drinks to get a set to take home still have them and still use them. Served shrimp cocktail in them for a dinner we gave and everyone was talking about where do you buy those glasses. I remember the drinks very fondly as well. 1BDNANA Posted January 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2010 Are they glass or plastic? CCL only sells plastic now due to broken glass around the pools. I still have alot of the glass ones from the old days.

Hobiecat01 Posted January 25, 2010 Author #11 Share Posted January 25, 2010 Wow! They are still available. Thanks for the updates folks. Looks like I need to plan to carry an extra colapsible bag to bring glasses back in April. DW loves these glasses and they are always a hit when we use them while entertaining at home. But I just cringe that someone will break one. Oh, well, just have to go one more cruises and get more! :D Now if I could just adequately reproduce the frozen Mango Tangos, I would be in heaven! ------------------------------- Sea ya! jmca110 Posted January 26, 2010 #14 Share Posted January 26, 2010 I just got off on Saturday and didn't see those exact glasses. The ones I saw had little swirls on them. Maybe different bars had different glasses. I got mine in the Viking lounge. The Hurricane glasses are nicer this time too. I brought home martini glasses and shot glasses that matched.
