travelangel7 Posted February 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2010 HI, My husband I went to Barbados for one day in January with our cruise ship. We went to Accra beach and loved it so much we want to come back and stay for a week. I was just wondering how the weather gets during their summer or "rainy season"? When would be a bad time to go? Thanks for the help!

I was just wondering how the weather gets during their summer or "rainy season"? When would be a bad time to go? August and Sept. are particularly hot and humid. Maybe October toobut a lot depends on where you stay(which coast). If you stay at Accra Beach Hotel right there on Rockley Beach itself you'll be okay.. there's usually a breeze along that part of the coastline. If you can afford it, Crane Hotel is very nice too, even at that time of year -in fact the sea gets very mellow after August.. to the point where there are no breakers, and then you can get out into the sea for a nice swim. Many folks visit the island before Winter Rates come into effect Dec. 15th. -the clever ones start to arrive anywhere from Nov. on, and are gone by Dec. 15th. ;) But don't let that stop you from coming in May,June,July before the big rains have started.. :D .
