Pride 1-16-05 to 1-23-05 Part Four

Recommended Posts

Part Two and Three are under Part One!

Glad there is a few of you going on the Pride and

enjoy my long review!

The Ship..The Pride! I liked her and think she was pretty but different!

For those of you that have cruised before this ship is different.

The Theme is the Renaissance, reproduction of art EVERYWHERE!

Walls, elevators, hanging pictures at sitting places. Most pictures

are different forms of nudes. Didn't bother us but some people with

children it might. Just need to explain its art from painters like

da Vinci..Titian..Botticelli and others. For me after awhile I just didn't

notice them that much.

This ship you don't enter by the Atrium. This atrium is smaller also,

the lobby is to be like a village..rows of windows.

Your use to a big open Atrium, this isn't, still has stairs and glass evevators

just not as open. Your use to look down from floors. there not open has windows in spots to look down at lobby.

The ceilings are low in certain areas, mainly in the areas you sit around the

ship. Darker woods. It's different but a nice ship.

All the rooms you use except for a couple are one floor 2 and 3 instead of

higher up.

The Normandie Restaurant is on the 2nd and 3rd floor aft. Very pretty..has the Normandie and Queen Mary painted on the ceiling.

The Taj Mahal Lounge (theater) is foward. 2,3 and 4th floors.

All the other places on the ship is between the two on the 2 and 3rd floors.

The Casino is big as is the shopping area, all the usual stores.

The photo gallery is on both sides of the ship, so not as crowded.

There is quite a few bars of course.

This ship had the most music of any ship I've been on.

Every bar, every area you walked by had music like the lobby, casino

other open areas you walk by. Music in dining room too. Couple of examples..

Good Jazz music in Raphael Lounge..2Slick good group (2) in

Butterflies. All kinds of music for ever one.

Also on this ship. restrooms on every floor. Remember on other cruies sometimes you had to go up or down a floor to find one, not on the Pride.

9th floor the Lido.

Food ..

The Mermaid grille is big, lots of food stations.

About 8 different places to get food.

Salad Bar, Pizza,Delli,Rotissere, Taste of Nations (changes each day)

Asian corner and the Dessert area.

Thats not counting the hamburgers or hot dogs.

So look around before you get

your food so you won't miss any thing.

Few places to get Ice cream or yogurt too.

You won't STARVE!

Pools two in the middle on the Lido and one aft for adults only.

Each area has hot tubs. Different nights different ones stay open later than usual.

Gym and spa on 9th and 10th floor.

If you have any questions please ask even thro I talk a lot, I might miss

something you would like to know.

Hi Belle: yes, we left in the pouring rain...at one point it was raining so hard, you could barely see the bow of Queen Mary... thats when I took the Photo from our stateroom. But Monday morning when I opened the curtain... SUNNY & BLUE SKY! it was a little cool that day, but not uncomfortably!!!

Jim says we always have to do a balcony...sounds great to me!!! I mean the views of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan & Cabo WOW!!! :)

Trace I LOVED the Balcony!

Just sitting there and looking at the sea.

Great seeing us come into port and seeing

all the actitives going on around the port was fun too.

Was my first balcony..hope not my last.

Glad you only had rain the first day. Wasn't

it nice to have warmer weather in Mexico.

Wasn't as hot as it should of been..70's and low 80's

instead of high 80's..LOL

Warmer then in in Northern California...Nice today thro

in the 60's!
