Afternoon in Calica

We will be stopping in Calica on our August cruise from 7 AM - 5 PM , most of the tours that Carnival offers on this cruise are only avaliable in the morning and return to the ship around noon or 1 PM , I'm looking for suggestions on what to do for a couple of hours in the afternoon .

We are planning on going to Tulum and that tours is supposed to get back to the ship at 12 noon
