Whiskeyman Posted February 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Well, you all have been great in helping us prepare for our cruise. We really don't know what we would have done without this board, and to the moderators and members, Thank You!!!. We were wondering if anyone out there might have any last minute advice for our cruise. Any tidbits of information, hints, etc. that you might think is cool or resourceful. Anything that you think we may have overlooked. Looking forward to hearing from you and I'll give you all a full report in a few weeks.....;)

DFD1 Posted February 8, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2005 One of the nice things about cruising is that once you have it booked and paid for, the rest is really easy. Hope you have a great time and come home hooked for life.

Candy Posted February 8, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 8, 2005 1. Greet your stewards and servers with a smile and a kind word and you will be rewarded with outstanding service. 2. Go with the flow. Stuff happens. There are no big deals. 3. Please post some kinda review when you're over the post-cruise depression. Candy <-- 4th Zuidy comin' up soon
luv2travel2beaches Posted February 8, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 8, 2005 We took our first cruise on our 25th anniversary. I would recommend you PARTICIPATE! One of the best memories from our trip is when DH volunteered us for one of the couples in the not so newlywed game. I could have shot him at the time, but now I look back and it was really fun (a bit embarressing) but heck....nobody knew us....ha ha. For the rest of the cruise we got stopped all of the time and talked to because everybody on the ship had watched us. It made for great conversations. So get involved in something and have fun. K&RCurt Posted February 8, 2005 #11 Share Posted February 8, 2005 We just did our first cruise on 1/23. Be open minded and let yourself relax and have fun. Don't let any minor glitches put you in a negative frame of mind and allow your trip to be "ruined" Don't forget to have some pizza and ice cream in the lido "just because you can". Have room service for breakfast at least once. MOST IMPORTANT>>>> Be prepared to be HOOKED. We just got off the Westerdam on 1/30 and we convinced ourselves to book another cruise this week!
