crazycath Posted September 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2010 A couple of weeks ago I heard the river washed away a bridge that connects PV with some places that are used for excursions, has that bridge been repaired? If not do you know when it will be repaired? Thanks Cathy
JRinPV Posted September 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2010 There were two bridges One northbound, one southbound, the northbound one washed away, the southbound is now two way, one lane in each direction. Traffic is moving pretty smoothly.
crazycath Posted September 13, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Thanks for answering so quickly. It's the north one I want to know about, are they planing to repair it any time soon. My sister in law has a place north of PV and I would like to visit her while I am there. Thanks Cathy

But that shouldn't be a concern according to JR's answer.
bzy1 Posted September 14, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2010 They are saying that the north bridge should be replaced and open come March. we do have cranes, bulldozers and all the other construction vehicles. In fact, they are building an overpass in Bucerias which should be completed in a couple of months. No worries about getting back and forth to the north with exception to Sayulita and San Pancho that also had their bridges wash out- they are also being replaced. I am going to Sayulita tomorrow to drop off donations for the clean up and the people who had damage due to the flooding up there.
willow949 Posted September 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Please keep us posted on the road to Sayulita. We will be on a cruise Dec.2 and always rent a car and go there for the day.
