AndyTheK Posted September 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Does Princess supply a shower cap, or should DW bring one from home? TIA and Shalom, Andy
DonnaK Posted September 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2010 We were not supplied a shower cap on the Caribbean Princess in July. I imagine we could have asked for one, however we brought one from home.

cruze610 Posted September 16, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2010 My DW uses a shower cap as well. Until reaching Elite level, We (she) never was able to get one. Once you achieve Elite Status it is one of the many cooooooool things that they give you.
AndyTheK Posted September 16, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Elites? Hmmmmm let's see... 150 cruise days at, oh, $100 per day... that's $15000 invested to get a five dollar shower cap. Not worth the effort. LOL :D:D
1 HappyCruiser Posted September 16, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Elites? Hmmmmm let's see... 150 cruise days at, oh, $100 per day... that's $15000 invested to get a five dollar shower cap. Not worth the effort. LOL :D:D I thought everyone got shower caps and they certainly don't cost $5....more like 15 cents. They're only a piece of plastic & not like something you would buy at home. Rare Kinkacruiser Posted September 16, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2010 I'm surprised they are not available without asking. I asked and received one last cruise. They do a good job for me.;)
Shifra Posted September 16, 2010 #10 Share Posted September 16, 2010 It was nice when they would just leave one in each cabin. Since then I just ask and it appears.
jagsfan Posted September 16, 2010 #11 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Andy, I brought a nice terry cloth lined cap on Emerald. It disappeared the 2nd day, probably in a pile of towels. I asked our steward if there was a possibility of getting any kind of shower cap, and he left 3 or 4 of the hotel style on the dresser. When I saw him again he said to let him know if I needed another. If Joanne loses hers, at least she can get one. Mimi
cb at sea Posted September 17, 2010 #12 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Just wrap a towel around your hair, to keep it from being sprayed!
AndyTheK Posted September 17, 2010 Author #13 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Mimi: On one cruise I lost a white terry wrap the same way. For this cruise, Jo bought me another white one (the ones I use at home aren't white but they're getting kind of ratty) and she's going to sew on a strip of contrasting color so that it won't be easily mistaken for a towel. karinad Posted September 17, 2010 #14 Share Posted September 17, 2010 I had to ask for one on the Ruby. I didn't get it the same day. Luckly I had one from a hotel that I found in with my travel kit. A towel isn't the same. It would really destroy your hair style.
