My first upsell offer

Today I received my first upsell offer. We are currently booked in an obstructed view balcony at $499 pp. I was offered an OS for $600 total additional. I countered with $400 for the OS or $600 for a VS, and was told no go. Since balconies are currently selling for $949, I didn't think that $799 pp was good enough, so I declined. I get priority embarkation anyway, so it was no big thing.

Can't blame you. I would have a hard time forking over that much extra as well. Hey, I hope you enjoy your cruise.

I would do the same thing. We cruise to cruise and cabin is secondary.

 

Did do an upsell from inside to balcony last month for 150 pp on 7 day cruise and had second thoughts and still not sure if we would do it again.
