Host Kewlguy Posted December 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2010 curious do you come right in to port in antigua with NCL or do you need a lift to port The ships dock right near downtown. No need for a lift.
DougYWG Posted December 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2010 The cruise ships tie up at St. John's pier. It's as close to downtown as you could possibly get. Try Google maps and you'll see.
Sunny AZ Girl Posted December 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2010 Are the shops there nice? We will be there on a Sunday, if that makes a difference.
Host Kewlguy Posted December 24, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2010 Most everything is closed on Sunday. Except a few tee-shirt/souvenir shops.

Host Kewlguy Posted December 26, 2010 #9 Share Posted December 26, 2010 We were in Antigua on a Sunday in November and while the majority of the stores were closed there was no shortage of taxi drivers waiting at the pier. Just be aware these guys will say anything, including lie in order to get your business. We had one taxi driver tell us the buses didn't run on Sunday's even though we knew for a fact they did. We just laughed and waved him off. Some can be very aggressive, just be firm and negotiate a price. Or do what we do and take the bus for a fraction of the cost.
