Although the Promenade is where most congregate for the New Years Eve Countdown, ,,,OOPS! Not a picture of the promenade, sorry!

 

we opted to bring it in with our good friends, Issac and Maddie up at the 19th Hole, alongside Dizzy’s Lounge. We were so surprised there was only one other table when we arrived.

 

We ordered drinks, then my husband went to our cabin to get our speaker and iPod for music. We created our own Happy New Year, it was AMAZING!

 

We had the entire area to ourselves, we had our own music, our own bar tender, we had him change the channel of the televisions (was a tough feat because it is considered a sports bar and he is only allowed to play sports on those tv’s). We were able to walk right outside and be under the stars and make some after midnight phone calls…Truly a wonderful New Years Eve!

 

Promenade .....

Dinner was very good. We had so much fun! I forgot what we ate! Will post pictures of the menu & dinner in another post!

Now I am even more pi--ed off that they didn't really publicize the New Year's brunch. Great decorations. We were sitting in the nearly empty Jammie with the same old same old wondering where everybody was, figuring the whole ship was hung over.:D

Loved your review...and loved seeing Damion serving in the MDR, when we sailed in October in was serving in the Aquarium Bar, and made me a rose also! Must be he got promoted.

 

Also, I noticed alot of new menu choices, do you know if they will be using some of these menus for future cruises, it would be nice to see a change, as we have had the same menu, over the course of the last few years...We will be back on EOS in May and then October 2011.

Something for the New years countdown? There was one halfway displaying the countdown all day and I didnt pay attention to the other one. I know I have a picture of it somewhere. It was decorated on the other side. when I come across it, I will post it!

I am jealous, I would love to have spent 14 nights on the Explorer with all of you, I am just getting caught up on yor review and have enjoyed every second of it. Keep the photos coming! :cool: I am positive the Quest was a blast as usual. Jimmy Rhodes does a nice job. Sorry to hear about the old belt.

Hey, Isaac, if you see this, I'll save you and Maddie a seat in the Cigar lounge in June. You need a cruise to decompress after medical school again this coming semester. Same time and same place for the cruise as last year...hint :D.

 

Hey, I am also jealous of the person in the red shirt in front of the Sky Bar, they are in my lounge chair!
